Life sciences
Water is the major component of all living cells where plays central roles. The mechanisms by which water passes through biological membranes and the crucial consequences, will be treated in a specific session.
Food properties and quality
Water is recognised as being critically important in determining food properties, quality and stability. This section will promote a discussion on some relevant aspects of the role of water during food processing and storage.
Water structure and dynamics
An update view on peculiar properties of water in freezing, molecular solvation and extreme conditions is the central aim of this session devoted to advanced methodologies and use of large infrastructures.
Pharmaceutical sciences
A section will be devoted to an insight on the role of water in pharmaceutical issues, in terms of stability, solvates and glassy states.
